Our response to the Maternity Review

Last Reviewed 20/11/2016

The Maternity Review was set up in 2015 by the Chief Executive of NHS England, Simon Stevens, as part of the NHS Five Year Forward View. The Review is being chaired by Baroness Julia Cumberlege and is considering how maternity care provision and services could be developed to better suit the needs of women and babies in England.

In our response we have stressed the importance of screening and appropriate training for clinicians in treating and diagnosing rare, genetic and undiagnosed conditions.
