Acting Assistant Director

Main Areas of Work are:

I am Genetic Alliance UK's Acting Assistant Director between May 2011 and April 2012. My role is to work closely with the Director and board of trustees in the development and delivery of Genetic Alliance UK's activities.

On a day-to-day level, I oversee our marketing, communications and membership activities as well as managing some of our research projects such as Facilitating Networks, Rare Disease UK, Route Maps for Rare Conditions, the Patient Partner Project and the SWAN project. I also oversee the work with colleagues delivering public affairs activities who are based in Scotland and Wales. I spend a day of my week working closely with the development officer for Wales who is based at the Wales Gene Park in Cardiff University.
