Public Affairs Officer

The purpose of my job is to support Genetic Alliance UKs public affairs, policy and communication activities.

My main role as Public Affairs Officer is to lead the work of Rare Disease UK (RDUK) as the Executive Officer. I am responsible for carrying out RDUK’s plan of activity as well as developing RDUK’s future strategy in collaboration with colleagues and the RDUK Management Committee.

My work spans public affairs, policy, communications and campaigns. Prior to joining Genetic Alliance UK in June 2009, I worked in the Policy and Public Affairs Team at the National Autistic Society Cymru. I have a degree in Law and an MA in Politics from the University of Manchester.
